Men's Tennis improves to 2-1 with road victories at Hanover (ind.), Franklin (Ind.)

CEDARVILLE — The Ohio Northern men's tennis team posted a pair of road victories on Sunday, winning at Hanover (Ind.) Sunday morning and at Franklin (Ind.) on Sunday afternoon.
The Polar Bears (2-1 overall) got three wins from seniors Andrew Cochran (Wooster) and Zach Beaschler (Ada) and freshmen Peyton Specht (Munster, Ind.) and Drew Swisher (Findlay) on the day.
Northern began the day with a 6-3 win at Hanover Sunday morning, winning Nos. 3-6 singles and Nos. 1 and 3 doubles.
ONU then traveled north to face Franklin and swept the Grizzlies 9-0.
Senior Vinh Thai (Saint Charles/Galloway) won 6-1, 6-2 at No. 1 singles and combined with junior Matt Garcia (Downers Grove, Ill./South) to win 8-2 at No. 1 doubles.
The Polar Bears will return to action Saturday when they host Ohio Wesleyan and Franciscan at the West Campus Courts.
