Men's Tennis runs win streak to 7 with 9-0 sweep of Taylor (Ind.)

ADA — The Ohio Northern men's tennis team ran its winning streak to seven matches with a 9-0 sweep of NAIA foe Taylor (Ind.) on a beautiful Wednesday afternoon at University Courts.
The Polar Bears improve to 12-6 overall, while the Trojans fall to 4-19.
Sophomore Hoang Do (Powell/Olentangy Liberty) and freshman Andrew Cochran (Wooster) posted 6-0, 6-1 victories at Nos. 3 and 6 singles, respecitvely, to lead ONU.
Sophomore Vinh Thai (Galloway/St. Charles) and freshman Noah Elliott (Hilliard/Davidson) combined to win 8-2 at No. 1 doubles and posted victories at Nos. 1 and 2 singles.
Thai won 6-3, 6-4 and Elliott won 7-5, 6-3.
Do and freshman Zach Beaschler (Ada) won 8-4 at No. 2 doubles and Cochran and junior Connor Christian (Gallipolis/Gallia Academy) won 8-4 at No. 3 doubles.
Beaschler won at No. 4 singles 6-2, 6-0 and Christian posted a 6-3, 6-1 win at No. 5 singles.
The Polar Bears will return to action on April 24 with a key Ohio Athletic Conference match at home against Otterbein.
