Men's Tennis sweeps Saint Francis (Ind.) 9-0

LIMA — The Ohio Northern men's tennis team evened its record at 5-5 on the season with a 9-0 shutout of NAIA foe Saint Francis (Ind.) on Sunday afternoon at the Westwood Tennis and Fitness Center.
Sophomore Vinh Thai (Galloway/St. Charles) and freshman Noah Elliott (Hilliard/Davidson) won 8-1 at No. 1 doubles and won at Nos. 1 and 2 singles to lead ONU.
Thai won 6-1, 6-0 and Elliott won 6-0, 6-0 in singles play.
Northern led 3-0 after doubles as freshman Zach Beaschler (Ada) and sophomore Hoang Do (Powell/Olentangy Liberty) won 8-2 at No. 2 and freshmen Andrew Cochran (Wooster) and Nate Meadors (Dublin/Jerome) won 8-5 at No. 3.
Beaschler then won 6-1, 6-0 at No. 3 singles, Do won 6-4, 6-1 at No. 4 singles, Cochran won 6-0, 6-2 at No. 5 singles and junior Connor Christian (Gallipolis/Gallia Academy) won 6-0, 6-0 at No. 6 singles to complete the sweep.
The Cougars fall to 3-10.
The Polar Bears will return to action on Tuesday with a 4 pm contest at Ohio Wesleyan.
