Men's Tennis wraps up regular season with 6-3 setback to Capital

LIMA — The Ohio Northern men's tennis team wrapped up its regular season with a 6-3 loss to Capital on Sunday afternoon indoors at the Westwood Tennis & Fitness Center.
The Polar Bears fall to 11-10 overall and are 3-5 in the Ohio Athletic Conference, while the Crusaders improve to 8-15, 4-4.
ONU will be the No. 6 seed in next week's OAC Tournament and will play at third-seeded Baldwin Wallace on Tuesday.
The semifinals and finals are slated for Friday and Saturday at the Lindner Family Tennis Center in Mason.
Senior Dan Warren (Talahassee, Fla./Lincoln), freshman Tyler Frantz (Bellefontaine) and sophomore David Hayman (Westerville/South) led Ohio Northern with singles victories at Nos. 6, 5 and 3, respectively.
Warren won a tight 7-6(2), 2-6, 7-5 decision at No. 6 and Frantz won in a third-set tiebreaker 6-2, 2-6, 10-3 at No. 5.
Hayman extended his singles winning streak to nine matches with a 6-3, 6-4 victory at No. 3.
Capital took a 3-0 lead after doubles and won at Nos. 1, 2 and 4 singles to take the match.
The match was originally scheduled for Saturday in Ada, but was postponed due to rain.
