Hayman, Hurley lead Men's Tennis to 7-2 victory at West Virginia State

CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- The Ohio Northern men's tennis team began its spring break trip with a 7-2 victory at NCAA Division II for West Virginia State on Saturday night indoors at the Charleston YMCA.
The Polar Bears improve to 4-1 on the season, while the Yellow jackets fall to 0-2.
Sophomore David Hayman (Westerville/South) and junior Cody Hurley (Centerville) led Ohio Northern with an impressive 8-0 victory at No. 3 doubles.
Hayman also won 6-0, 6-0 at No. 3 singles and Hurley posted a 6-1, 6-1 win at No. 6 singles.
The Polar Bears swept the doubles matches with sophomore Tim Kargl (Downers Grove, Ill./South) and freshman Andrew Garcia (Downers Grove, Ill./South) winning 8-6 at No. 1 doubles.
Sophomore Jake Abbott (Kenton) and freshman Tyler Frantz (Bellefontaine) won a tight 9-8(4) victory at No. 2 doubles.
Abbott also won 6-3, 6-2 at No. 4 singles and Frantz won 7-5, 6-1 at No. 5 singles.
The Polar Bears will have a quick turnaround, as they play again Sunday morning at 9:30 am at Emory & Henry (Va.)
