John Mostowy joins 100-Win Club as Men's Tennis edges NAIA foe St. Francis (Ind.) 5-4

FORT WAYNE, Ind. — The Ohio Northern men's tennis team split the singles matches and took two of the three doubles matches to edge NAIA foe Saint Francis (Ind.) 5-4 on Thursday indoors at the Wildwood Racquet Club.
The Polar Bears improve to 1-7 on the season, while the Cougars fall to 4-17.
Senior John Mostowy and freshman Tim Kargl won 8-5 at No. 1 doubles to give ONU the win after junior Dan Warren and freshman Lance Brown won by default at No. 3 doubles to give Northern a 4-3 lead.
Mostowy's victory made him the 22nd member of ONU's 100-Win Club. He is now 48-19 in singles, 52-24 in doubles and is 100-43 overall in his career.
Freshman David Hayman won 6-1, 6-1 at No. 3 singles, junior Alex Genbauffe won 6-3, 6-4 at No. 5 singles and sophomore Nathan Knodel won by default at No. 6 singles as the score was tied at 3-3 after the six singles matches.
The Polar Bears will return to action April 2 when they open the home and Ohio Athletic Conference portions of their schedule with a 1 pm match against John Carroll.
