Men's Tennis closes out OAC Tennis Fest with 9-0 win over Marietta

MASON -- The Ohio Northern men's tennis team defeated Marietta 9-0 in its final match at the OAC Tennis Fest on Sunday at the Lindner Family Tennis Center.
ONU pushes its record to 10-4 on the season and 4-2 in the OAC, while the Pioneers fall to 3-10, 1-5.
Junior Sam Prewitt paced the Polar Bears by not dropping a game on the day.
Prewitt teamed with freshman Alex Starr for a 8-0 win at No. 3 doubles and also won 6-0, 6-0 at No. 5 singles.
Senior Josh Saunders and sophomore John Mostowy won 8-2 at No. 1 doubles and the tandem of senior Do Thai and senior Blake Troller won 8-1 at No. 2 doubles.
In singles play, Troller and Starr won 6-1, 6-0 at No. 4 and No. 6 singles, respectively.
Saunders scored a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 1 singles.
Thai won 6-2, 6-0 at No. 2 singles and Mostowy scored a 6-2, 6-0 win at No. 3 singles.
Ohio Northern will return to action on Tuesday, when it hosts Baldwin Wallace in a key OAC match at 3:30 pm.
