Men's Tennis picks up third straight victory with 5-4 win over Wittenberg

DAYTON -- The Ohio Northern men's tennis team topped Wittenberg 5-4 on Wednesday afternoon at Dayton Center Courts.
The Polar Bears are now 6-2 on the season, while Wittenberg drops to 6-3.
With the match tied at 4-4, sophomore John Mostowy was awarded a point penalty that clinched the match for ONU, giving him a 6-7(5), 6-3, 7-3 win at No. 3 singles.
Mostowy teamed with senior Josh Saunders for an 8-1 victory and Northern's lone doubles win of the day.
In singles play, senior Do Thai won a thrilling 6-3, 5-7, 7-5 win at No. 2 singles, while freshman Alex Starr won 3-6, 6-2, 6-0 at No. 5 singles.
Junior Sam Prewitt also won 6-2, 6-1 at No. 4 singles.
Ohio Northern will return to action on Saturday, when it travels to face off against OAC rival Mount Union at 1 pm.
