Men's Tennis tops Moravian (Pa.) 8-1 to open spring trip

ORLANDO -- The Ohio Northern men's tennis team picked up an 8-1 win in its first match of its spring trip on Sunday in Orlando, Fla.
The Polar Bears better their record to 2-1, while Moravian falls to 2-2.
In doubles action, ONU won all three courts.
The tandem of seniors Do Thai and Blake Troller won 8-2 at No. 2 doubles and junior Sam Prewitt and freshman Alex Starr teamed up to win 8-1 at No. 3 doubles.
Senior Josh Saunders and sophomore John Mostowy won 9-7 at No. 1 doubles to complete the sweep.
In singles play, Troller won 6-0, 6-0 at No. 4 singles and Mostowy won 6-2, 6-1 at No. 3 singles.
Saunders and Starr won by identical 6-2, 7-5 scores at No. 1 and No. 6 singles, respectively.
Thai also won 6-1, 7-5 at No. 2 singles.
Ohio Northern will return to action on Monday, when it continues play in Florida against Trine (Ind.) at 10:30 am.
