Men's Tennis competes at ITA Central Region Championships

KALAMAZOO (Mich.) -- The Ohio Northern men's tennis team competed at the ITA Central Region Championships at Kalamazoo College on Friday through Sunday.
The tournament was unscored.
Sophomore John Mostowy led the Polar Bears with five victories on the weekend.
Mostowy dropped his first match, but reeled off two straight victories in the consolation draw, before falling to No. 8-seed Tim Noack of Washington U (Mo.).
Mostowy and senior Josh Saunders dropped their first doubles match to fall into the consolation bracket.
The duo then won three straight matches to advance to the semifinals, including a 8-5 win over Casey Cempre and Andrew Marzcak of Denison in the quarterfinals.
Senior Do Thai picked up a 6-4, 6-2 win his first round singles match, before falling to fourth seeded C.J. Krimbill of Case Western in the second round.
Senior Blake Troller and junior Sam Prewitt also competed for ONU.
This concludes the fall portion of the Polar Bears season. Ohio Northern will return to action in March with its annual spring trip to Orlando, Fla.
