ADA — The Ohio Northern men's tennis team clinched the Ohio Athletic Conference regular season title outright with a 9-0 win against Muskingum on Saturday afternoon at University Courts.
The Polar Bears finish the regular season 15-4 overall and 9-0 in the OAC, while the Muskies fall to 0-11, 0-9.
This is the Polar Bears' third OAC regular season title in last four years and their fifth title in the last seven years.
Ohio Northern dominated Muskingum, winning all nine matches without losing a game.
Northern won all six singles matches by identical 6-0, 6-0 scores.
Frank, Thai, Saunders and Troller won at Nos. 1, 2, 3 and No. 4 singles, respectively,, senior Mike King won at No. 5 singles and Madsen rounded out the match with a win at No. 6 singles.
Top-seeded Ohio Northern will host eighth-seeded Wilmington on Tuesday in the quarterfinals of the OAC Tournament. The match is set to begin at 3:30 p.m.
