Men's Tennis opens up OAC play with 8-1 win at John Carroll

MEDINA -- The Ohio Northern men's tennis team opened OAC play with a 8-1 win over John Carroll on Saturday evening at Paramount Tennis Club.
The win moves the Polar Bears to 5-4 on the season and 1-0 in the OAC. The Blue Streaks fall to 1-8, 0-1.
The Polar Bears won all three doubles matches to open play.
The duo of sophomore Sam Prewitt and junior Blake Troller score a win at No. 3 doubles by an 8-1 score.
At No. 2 doubles, freshman John Mostowy and junior Josh Saunders won 8-3 and senior Joey Frank and junior Do Thai won 8-5 at No. 1 doubles.
In singles play, senior Mike King won 6-1, 6-0, while Troller was victorious by a 6-0, 6-1 score at No. 5 singles.
Thai won 6-2, 6-1 at No. 2 singles, Saunders won 6-1, 6-2 at No. 3 singles and Mostowy scored a 6-4, 6-0 victory at No. 4 singles.
Ohio Northern will return to action on Tuesday when it returns home to host Division II Malone at 3:30 pm.
