Men's Tennis falls to regionally ranked Coe (Iowa) 5-4

ORLANDO (Fla.) -- The Ohio Northern men's tennis team dropped a tough 5-4 contest to regionally ranked Coe (Iowa) on Thursday afternoon in Orlando, Florida.

The Polar Bears fall to 2-4, while the Kohawks stay perfect on the season at 16-0.

In doubles play, freshman John Mostowy and sophomore Sam Prewitt scored a tight 9-8(5) victory at No. 3 doubles to get ONU on the board.

In singles, the Polar Bears got two three set victories.

Junior Do Thai scored a 6-4, 2-6, 6-2 win at No. 3 singles and junior Blake Troller won 3-6, 6-3, 6-2 at No. 4 singles.

Mostowy picked up a solid 6-2, 6-1 win at No. 5 singles.

Ohio Northern will return to action on Friday when it concludes its spring trip by taking on Staten Island (N.Y.) at 8:30 am.
