Men's Tennis gets spring schedule underway with battles against nationally-ranked foes

The Ohio Northern men's tennis team opened its 2013 spring schedule with a pair of matches against nationally-ranked foes on Friday at the Hope/Kalamazoo Shootout.
The Polar Bears (0-2) dropped a 9-0 decision to No. 7-ranked Case Western Reserve at Hope (Mich.) Friday afternoon and fell 8-1 to No. 30-ranked Earlham (Ind.) at Kalamazoo (Mich.) Friday evening.
Junior Josh Saunders posted Northern's victory against Earlham, winning at No. 2 singles in a third-set tiebreaker 6-7, 7-6, 10-4.
Northern will conclude play in the Shootout with a match at Hope (Mich.) Saturday at Noon.
