Frank named OAC Player of the Year and three other Men's Tennis players named All-OAC

ADA -- Junior Joey Frank was named Ohio Athletic Conference Men's Tennis Player of the Year and three others were named All-OAC as voted on by the conference's head coaches.
Seniors Nick Kowalczyk and Mike Kathary were both named First Team All-OAC, while sophomore Josh Saunders was named Honorable Mention.
Frank earned his second consecutive Player of the Year honor and his third straight First Team All-OAC nod as well. He finished the season with a 19-7 overall record at singles (11-3 at No. 1 singles) with a 9-0 mark against OAC opponents.
He was also an OAC Player of the Week and became the 18th member of the ONU men's tennis program's 100-win club. Frank's career record now sits at 115-42.
Kowalczyk finishes his career with his fourth All-OAC honor. In 2012, he went 17-7 overall in singles with a 7-1 mark at OAC singles play.
He was also 15-10 overall this year at doubles and finishes his time at ONU first in career wins (144) and singles wins (71), and tied for second in career doubles wins at 73.
Kathary rounded out the 2012 season 29-11 overall with an 11-7 singles record and an 18-4 mark at doubles. He wraps his career at Northern as a record holder with 49 single-season wins, as well as a 78-23 career record.
Saunders finished his second collegiate season with 17 wins in singles play and 14 wins in doubles action. He was also an OAC Player of the Week in early April after winning the No. 4 singles flight at the Wabash Kerry Seward Invitational.
The Polar Bears finished the season 12-6 overall and 8-1 in the OAC.
