Men’s Tennis advances to Semifinals of OAC Tournament with 5-0 win over Capital

ADA — The Ohio Northern men's tennis team posted a 5-0 victory over Capital in the OAC Tournament quarterfinals Wednesday afternoon at the University Courts.
The two time defending OAC Tournament champion Polar Bears improve to 11-5 overall while the Crusaders conclude their season at 7-19.
Northern will face off against No. 3 seed Otterbein on Friday at 4:30 pm in the semifinals of the OAC Tournament at the Lindner Family Tennis Center in Mason.
ONU swept all three doubles courts to begin the match.
The tandem of junior Joey Frank and senior Nick Kowalczyk and the duo of freshman Sam Prewitt and sophomore Josh Saunders won 8-2 at No. 1 and No. 3 doubles respectively.
Seniors Michael Kathary and Andrew Korba were victorious by an 8-4 at the No. 2 doubles position.
In singles play, Kowalczyk recorded a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 3 singles over Tommy Stein to make ot 4-0 ONU.
Saunders clinched the match with a 6-0, 6-2 win at No. 4 singles.
Northern won the regular season matchup with Otterbein in early April by a 7-2 score.
