Men's Tennis honors three seniors with dominating 9-0 sweep of Muskingum

ADA - Three Ohio Northern men's tennis players played their last regular season match Saturday afternoon, helping the team to a 9-0 sweep over Muskingum at the ONU Sports Center.
The Polar Bears conclude the regular season 10-5 overall and 8-1 in the Ohio Athletic Conference. The Muskies fall to 4-9 overall and 1-8 in the leauge.
Seniors Nick Kowalczyk, Andrew Korba and Michael Kathary won their courts today. Kowalczyk and Kathary teamed up for an 8-1 win at No. 1 doubles, while Korba played with junior Joey Frank for the 8-0 win at No. 2 doubles.
Kathary moved on to win 8-0 at No. 2 singles, while Kowalczyk won No. 3 singles 8-1 and Korba won No. 5 singles, 8-0.
Frank finished the regular season undefeated in singles action following his 8-0 win at No. 1 singles.
Sophomore Josh Saunders and freshman Mike King also picked up wins in singles play.
As the No. 2 seed, Northern will host the No. 7 seed in a quarterfinal match of the 2012 OAC Men's Tennis Tournament on Wednesday at 3:30 p.m.
That opponent will be based upon the outcome of the John Carroll/Heidelberg and Otterbein/Capital matches tomorrow.
