Men's Tennis falls to D-II opponent Walsh, 8-1

NORTH CANTON - The Ohio Northern men's tennis team fell 8-1 to Division II opponent Walsh at the Klekotka Tennis Complex on Wednesday afternoon.
Northern falls to 3-4 overall, while the Cavaliers win their fifth straight match to improve to 10-4.
Walsh started the afternoon by sweeping doubles competition. ONU's lone win was at No. 2 singles by Nick Kowalczyk with a 6-4, 7-6(1) win over Mark Innes.
Kowalczyk is 10-4 overall this season and earned his first win of the year at No. 2 singles.
Joey Frank was on the losing end of a close battle at No. 1 singles, falling to Diego Yung 6-3, 3-6, 10-8.
The Polar Bears compete next at the Wabash (Ind.) Invitational on Saturday and Sunday.
