GRANVILLE — The Ohio Northern men's tennis team wrapped up the non-conference portion of its schedule with a 7-2 loss at No. 27-ranked Denison Tuesday at Mitchell Courts.
The Polar Bears fall to 12-3 and see their nine-match winning streak come to an end, while the Big Red improve to 11-7.
Northern is ranked No. 17 in the Central Region, while DU is ranked No. 5.
Sophomore Michael Kathary had a hand in both of ONU's victories.
He won 7-6 (8-6), 7-5 at No. 2 singles and combined with freshman Do Thai to win 9-7 at No. 2 doubles.
The Polar Bears will look to clinch at least a share of the 2011 Ohio Athletic Conference Regular Season title and the top seed in the 2011 OAC Tournament with a victory at Wilmington on Wednesday.
