Men’s Swimming and Diving wins tri-meet at Ohio Wesleyan with Bluffton

DELAWARE — The Ohio Northern men's swimming and diving team won a tri-meet at Ohio Wesleyan with Bluffton on Friday night at the Meek Center.
The Polar Bears (5-2) won 170-56 over Ohio Wesleyan (3-5) and 196-8 over Bluffton (0-6).
Northern posted first-place finishes in 10 events.
Freshman Selby Wilt (Findlay) won the 50 free in :21.13 and the 100 free in :47.00.
Senior Calob Cope (Fort Wayne, Ind./Homestead) won the 200 free in 1:49.06, sophomore Ben Starling (Mansfield/Lexington) won the 200 IM in 2:07.41, freshman Nathan Clark (Cleves/Elder) won the 100 fly in :54.23, and freshman Tyler Edmonds (Youngsville, LA./Southside) won the 500 free in 5:01.93.
Wilt and Starling joined junior Charlie Spyker (Harrod/Shawnee) and sophomore Brady Horgan (New Richmond/McNicholas) to win the 200 medley relay in 1:38.66.
Clark joined fifth-year senior Jackson Stanley (Beavercreek) and freshmen Aiden Magoolaghan (Hinckley/Highland) and Carter Detweiler (Newton, Pa./Council Rock) in the top-finishing 200 free relay team with a time of 1:28.42.
Sophomore Holden Cubberley (Celina) won both the 1- and 3-meter diving events.
He won the 1-meter diving with a score of 277.35 and the 3-meter diving with a score of 284.85.
The Polar Bears return to action on Saturday when they host Ohio Athletic Conference foe Baldwin Wallace at 1 p.m.
