Men's Swimming and Diving gets four wins from Adams to post 186-110 victory over Mount Union on Senior Day

ADA — The Ohio Northern men's swimming and diving team posted a 186-110 victory over Mount Union on Senior Day Saturday afternoon at the ONU Sports Center Natatorium.
The Polar Bears (3-1 overall) improve to 3-0 in Ohio Athletic Conference regular season dual meets this season.
Northern is guaranteed to finish on top of the league standings for the 13th time in school history and the second time in the past five seasons.
The Purple Raiders fall to 5-2, 1-2.
Senior Jeremy Adams (Ypsilanti, Mich./Ann Arbor Pioneer) and junior Calob Cope (Fort Wayne, Ind./Homestead) each won three individual events to lead ONU.
Adams won the 200 free in 1:46.53. Ten minutes later, Adams won the 100 breast in 1:00.56. He also took the 100 free in :48.33.
Cope swept the distance events, winning the 1,000-yard free in 10:04.43 and the 500 in 4:52.89. He also won the 400 I.M. in 4:20.06 to complete an impressive day.
In all, ONU won 14 of the 16 events in the meet.
Senior Jackson Stanley (Beavercreek) won the 100 fly in :52.96.
Sophomore Ben Lacey (Lebanon) won the 200 fly in 1:59.47.
Sophomore Wes Richards (Pinckney, Mich.) won the 200 breast in 2:17.86.
Freshman Brady Horgan (New Richmond/McNicholas) won the 50 free in :21.44.
Freshman Holden Cubberley (Celina) won the 1-meter diving with 287.40 points and the 3-meter diving with 274.55 points for six dives.
Stanley, sophomore Ben Starling (Mansfield/Homeschool), Lacey and Horgan began the meet by winning the 200 medley relay in 1:39.41.
Adams, senior Mike Lewandowski (Shelby Township, Mich./Eisenhower), Lacey and Horgan wrapped up the meet with a victory in the 400 free relay in 3:14.64.
The Polar Bears will return to action on Friday with a home tri-meet against Ohio Wesleyan and Bluffton.
