Jeremy Adams wins the 200 breast, leads Men's Swimming & Diving on the final day of the Wooster Invitational

WOOSTER — Freshman Jeremy Adams (Ypsilanti, Mich./Ann Arbor Pioneer) won the 200 breast to lead the Ohio Northern men's swimming and diving team on the third and final day of the Wooster Invitational on Saturday at the Wooster High School Natatorium and the College of Wooster Natatorium.
The Polar Bears finished third out of 10 teams with 733 points in the 20 events.
Case Western Reserve won the team title with 1278 points, Gannon (Pa.) was second with 969.5 points and Wooster was fourth with 693 points.
Adams won the 200 breast in 2:07.98 and sophomore Pat Reed (Charleston, W.Va./Washington) was eighth of 30 swimmers in 2:12.23.
Senior Pete He (Mason) was seventh out of 52 swimmers in the 100 free in :47.34.
Junior Nolan Huey (Fort Collins, Colo./Fossil Ridge) was seventh out of 29 swimmers in the 200 back in 1:54.36.
He, Huey, Adams and senior Justin Chapman (Springboro) finished the meet with a sixth place finish in the 400 free relay in 3:10.15.
The Polar Bears will take the rest of December off and will resume action with a competition in early January as part of their Winter Training trip to Arizona.
