He, Huey lead Men's Swimming and Diving on day one of Wooster Invitational

WOOSTER — Senior Pete He (Mason) and junior Nolan Huey (Fort Collins, Colo./Fossil Ridge) each posted second place finishes to lead the Ohio Northern men's swimming and diving team on the first day of the three-day Wooster Invitational on Thursday at the Wooster High School Natatorium.
The Polar Bears are third out of 10 teams with 305 points through five of 20 events.
Case Western Reserve leads the team standings with 528 points, Gannon (Pa.) is second with 450 points and Wooster is fourth with 259 points.
He finished second out of 48 swimmers in the 50 free in :21.00 and Huey was second out of 40 swimmers in the 200 I.M. in 1:54.78.
Senior Justin Chapman (Springboro) was eighth in the 50 free in :21.58.
The 400 medley relay team of Huey, freshman Jeremy Adams (Ypsilanti, Mich./Ann Arbor Pioneer), He and sophomore Zach Ayres (Chillicothe) wrapped up the evening by finishing second in the 400 medley relay in 3:28.52.
He, Ayres, freshman Caleb Baker (Westerville/South) and Chapman began the night with a fourth place finish in the 200 free relay in 1:25.48.
The meet will continue with eight more events on Friday and the final seven events on Saturday.
Prelims on both days will begin at 10 am at Wooster High School with diving starting at 2 pm at the College of Wooster.
Finals on Friday will begin at 6 pm and the finals on Saturday will start at 5 pm at Wooster High School.
