Nolan Huey wins three events, leads Men's Swimming & Diving in 180-119 loss at John Carroll

UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS — Junior Nolan Huey (Fort Collins, Colo./Fossil Ridge) won two individual races and was part of a winning 200 medley relay team to lead the Ohio Northern men's swimming and diving team in a 180-119 loss at John Carroll on Saturday afternoon at the Johnson Natatorium.
The Polar Bears fall to 1-1 overall and 1-1 in the Ohio Athletic Conference while competing in the second day of back-to-back competitions after a home victory over Wilmington on Friday evening.
The Blue Streaks improve to 1-1, 1-0.
Huey had a hand in all three of ONU's victories on the day, winning the 100 back in :52.98 and the 200 back in 2:00.02.
He joined senior Anthony Ferrell (Canton/Glen Oak), sophomore Zach Ayres (Chillicothe) and senior Pete He (Mason) to win the 200 medley relay in 1:37.64.
Huey also placed second in the 400 I.M. in 4:23.22.
Pete He also placed second in three individual events. He was second in the 50 free in :21.85, the 100 free in :48.95 and the 100 fly in :53.85.
Freshman Jeremy Adams (Ypsilanti, Mich./Ann Arbor Pioneer) was second in the 100 breast in 1:01.75 and the 200 free in 1:48.31.
The Polar Bears will return to action next Friday and Saturday at the Calvin (Mich.) Invitational.
