OAC Championships Meet: Ohio Northern is looking for its 13th OAC Championships title in program history Thursday-Saturday at the University of Akron's Ocasek Natatorium ... ONU won 12 consecutive crowns from 2005-16 ... The championships consists of 13 swimming events, two diving events and five relays over a 3-day span ... Prelims will begin at 10 am each day, with the finals at 6:30, 6 and 5:30 pm Thursday-Saturday, respectively ... The top three individuals and the top two relay teams in each event will earn All-OAC honors ... Each swimmer is allowed to compete in three individual races and up to four relays ... ONU won its 12th OAC Regular Season title this season with a perfect 4-0 record ... The Polar Bears also clinched their 11th consecutive winning dual meet season ... Sophomore Nolan Huey currently leads the OAC in the 200 back in 1:52.98 ... He also leads the OAC in the 200 I.M. (1:55.18) and the 400 I.M. (4:08.60) and is second in the 200 free (1:45.76) ... Junior Pete He leads the OAC in the 100 Fly (:50.86) and the 200 fly (1:56.30) and is second in the 50 free (:21.19) ... Senior Ian Simpson is seeded second in the 100 back (:52.61) and the 100 free (:47.42) ... Senior Thomas Golba is ranked second in the 200 breast (2:12.28) ... Junior Anthony Ferrell is ranked second in the 100 breast (:58.87) ... Freshman Ryan Mow is ranked second in the 1650 free (10:13.86 for 1000 meters).

ONU head coach Peggy Ewald: Ewald is in her 14th season at ONU and is the program's all-time winningest coach with a 107-43 men's dual meet record, a winning percentage of .713. She has been named OAC Men's Coach of the Year seven times and guided the Polar Bear men to 12 consecutive OAC Championships crowns from 2005-16 and 11 OAC Regular Season titles, including 10 straight from 2007-16.
