Men's Swimming & Diving: Ohio Northern (3-0 Overall) at Wooster Invitational

This Weekend's Meet: Ohio Northern will compete at the 11-team Wooster Invitational, which is scheduled just like the OAC Championships meet in February, which is a 20-event meet spread ove three days ... Each day of the inviational will feature a prelim portion and finals portion for each event ... The diving portion of the meet will be held at The College of Wooster, while the swimming portion of the meet will be at the Wooster YMCA/High School ... Championship, consolation, and bonus finals will consist of eight swimmers each ... Scoring will be through 24th place ... The 1650 and the relays will be timed finals ... Last year the Polar Bears finished 4th of 9 teams with 1074 points. ... The prelims for the first day of the invitational are scheduled to begin at 11 am ... Ohio Northern won 14-of-16 events in a 207-90 victory at Wittenberg on Nov. 18 ... Sophomore Nolan Huey and senior Ian Simpson led Ohio Northern with four victories each the evening ... Huey won the 200 free in 1:50.85, the 500 free in 4:54.78 and the 200 I.M. in 2:02.03 ... Simpson swept the backstroke events, winning the 100 back in :55.41 and the 200 back in 2:05.32 ... Huey and Simpson combined with senior Conor Cassara and junior Pete He to win the 200 medley relay in 1:40.27 ... Simpson was named the OAC Men's Swimmer of the Week for his efforts ... Simpson, junior Thomas Golba, junior Justin Chapman and he won the 200 free relay in 1:28.49 ... Chapman also won the 50 free in :22.62 and the 100 free in :50.36, He also won the 200 fly in 2:03.15 and Gobla also won the 200 breast in 2:20.85.

ONU head coach Peggy Ewald: Ewald is in her 14th season at ONU and is the program's all-time winningest coach with a 103-41 men's dual meet record, a winning percentage of .715. She has been named OAC Men's Coach of the Year seven times and guided the Polar Bear men to 12 consecutive OAC Championships crowns from 2005-16 and 10 straight OAC Regular Season titles from 2007-16.
