Friday's Meet: The Polar Bears will host Oberlin on Saturday afternoon in the second of two home meets at the ONU Sports Center this weekend ... The Polar Bears are also hosting their annual Swim for Cystic Fibrosis fundraiser in both meets ... Special event 200-yard relay races will be held during the first diving break of the meet on Saturday ... The Polar Bears are coming off a 174-39 victory over Wittenberg on Friday night ... A trio of ONU swimmers won two events each ... Senior Eric Chen (Mason) won the 200 I.M. in 2:03.28 and the 100 free in :48.49 ... Sophomore Pete He (Mason) won the 200 free in 1;44.54 and won the 500 free in 5:04.65 ... Freshman Nolan Huey (Fort Collins, Colo./Fossil Ridge) won the 1,000 free in 10:04.73, beating the field by more than 40 seconds, and won the 200 back in 1:58.11 ... Junior Thomas Golba (Kettering/Alter) won the 50 free in :22.29 and sophomore Anthony Ferrell (Canton/Glan Oak) won the 200 breast in 2:15.59 ... Junior Ian Simpson (Strongsville), Ferrell, He and Chen got the meet underway by winning the 400 medley relay in 3:36.25 ... Huey, freshman Ryan Groehl (Marysville), Raker and senior Logan Pfeifer (Bucyrus/Colonel Crawford) wrapped up the victory by winning the 400 free relay in 3:19.48.
