Friday's Meet: The Ohio Northern men's swimming and diving team will open the Ohio Athletic Conference and home portion of its schedule as it welcomes Wilmington to the ONU Sports Center Natatorium ... The Polar Bears are coming off a third place finish at the Kenyon Relays and Denison Diving Meet ... Senior Eric Chen led ONU in the pool as he competed in five of the seven relay teams that finished third at the meet ... He was on the 200 medley relay team that was third in 1:37.70, on the 200 back relay (1:41.14), the 500 crescendo relay (4:17.43), the 200 fly relay (1:37.90) and the 200 free relay (1:27.42) ... Senior John Raker and sophomore Pete He were on four relay teams each and junior Thomas Golba and sophomore Anthony Ferrell were each on three of thise top relay teams ... In the diving competition, junior Braden Kuhn and freshman Zachary Whitmore combined to finish second in the 1-meter event with 274.75 points ... Wilmington enters the meet after defeating Baldwin Wallace in its season and OAC opener ... The team of senior Erik Spraul, sophomore Nick DeWald, junior Alex Tillapaugh, and sophomore Andrew Stewart took first place in the 200 free relay to lead the Quakers.

ONU head coach Peggy Ewald: Ewald is in her 13th season at ONU and is the program's all-time winningest coach with a 95-37 men's dual meet record, a winning percentage of .731. She has been named OAC Men's Coach of the Year seven times and had guided the Polar Bear men to 12 consecutive OAC Championships crowns and 11 straight OAC Regular Season titles.
