Sophomore Trevor Keriazes sets new school record in the 100 Breast, earns Honorable Mention All-America honors

GREENSBORO, N.C. — Sophomore Trevor Keriazes set a new school record in the 100 breast Friday evening earning Honorable Mention All-America honors at the 2016 NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships hosted at the Greensboro Aquatic Center.
Keriazes finished 11th overall, third in his heat, with a new school record time of 55.40.
He broke his previous record of 55.44 set earlier this year.
The sophomore entered the finals ranked ninth overall with a time of 55.57.
"The NCAA stage is so exciting," said head coach Peggy Ewald. "This has been a great meet so far. To come in and swim a school record time and earn All-american status is a great accomplishment for Trevor. He's got more to reach for next season, and be very proud of this race."
"Amazing, the whole experience has been one the most memorable," said Keriazes. "I have two more years to adapt and get better, im excited to make improvements and get back here. It has been somewhat of a dream and just a dream come true."
Keriazes returns to the pool Saturday at 10am when he competes in the 200 breast.
