The No. 30-ranked Men's Swimming & Diving team defeats Manchester (Ind.) 249-27 on Senior Day

ADA — The No. 30-ranked Ohio Northern men's swimming and diving team dominated Manchester (Ind.) at the ONU Sports Center Natatorium on Saturday by a score of 249–27.
The Polar Bears improve to 8-2 overall, while the Spartans fall to 1-4 on the year. The Northern men took first in every event.
Senior Mitchell Murphy led the Polar Bears on Senior Day, placing first in the 100 yard butterfly with a time of :54.98. All three men's senior swimmers won first place in individual races.
Senior Sean O'Neill took first in the 100 backstroke in :57.98, while senior Zach Martin won the 500 freestyle in 5:21.82.
Junior Eric Chen claimed first place in the 100 free in :47.36. He later won the 50 fly in :24.61.
Sophomore Ian Simpson also won two individual events on the day. He took the 50 yard backstroke in :26.03 and the 100 Yard IM in :57.15.
Freshman Pete He placed first in the 800 yard freestyle in 8:23.69 and the 50 yard breaststroke in :27.88.
Sophomore Braden Kuhn won both diving events. He scored 178.75 points in 1 meter diving and 132.85 points in 3 meter diving.
ONU had three other individuals take first place on the day. Sophomore Trevor Keriazes won the 100 breast in 1:00.28. Sophomore Thomas Golba won the 50 free in :22.08. Junior John Raker won the 200 free in 1:53.68.
The 200 medley relay team of Simpson, Keriazes, Murphy, and Junior Logan Pfeifer won in 1:38.23. The team of Murphy, Golba, Pfeifer, and Chen ended the meet with a win in the 200 free relay in 1:26.84.
The Polar Bears will compete at the OAC Championships at Akron University starting on Thursday, February 18.
