No. 15 Men's Swimming and Diving tops Baldwin Wallace 182-49

BEREA -- The No. 15 Ohio Northern men's swimming & diving team defeated Baldwin Wallace 182-49 to retain the Golden Kickboard for the sixth straight year on Saturday afternoon.
The Polar Bears move to 7-1 on the year and remain a perfect 3-0 in OAC play, while the Yellow Jackets drop to 3-6, 0-3.
Freshman Eric Chen won two events to lead Northern.
He won the 100 backstroke in 56.47 second and also touched first in the 200 I.M. in 2:01.94.
Freshman Logan Pfeifer won the 200 freestyle in 1:50.95 and freshman Jeremy Preston notched a first place finish in the 100 fly in 53.09 seconds.
In the 100 freestyle, junior Brian Heilbronner won in 49.05 seconds, while junior Jason Luthman won the 100 breaststroke in 1:03.26.
The Polar Bears also swept both diving events and both relays in the meet.
Senior Kyle Rex captured the 1-meter diving with 138.25 points and freshman Tim Pelltier won the 3-meter diving with 214.25 points.
The 400 medley relay team of senior Jordan Breitigam, senior John Beaschler, Chen and Luthman touched first in 3:42.07.
In the 400 free relay, sophomore Mitchell Murphy, freshman John Raker, Beaschler and Heilbronner won in 3:19.42.
Ohio Northern will return to action on Friday, when it hosts Mount Union at 6 pm. The Polar Bears will then celebrate Senior Day on Saturday against Case Western Reserve at 1 pm.
