Brian Heilbronner, John Raker lead Men's Swimming & Diving to Calvin (Mich.) Invitational title

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- Brian Heilbronner and John Raker each won events to lead the Ohio Northern men's swimming and diving team to the Calvin (Mich.) Invitational title Friday and Saturday.
The Polar Bears finished with 1067.5 points, host Calvin (Mich.) was second with 988 points, Albion (Mich.) was third with 811.5 points and Hope (Mich.) was fourth with 40 points.
Heilbronner won the 200 back in 2:19.04 and Raker won the 200 fly in 1:58.12.
Both men also posted second place finishes as well. Heilbronner was second in the 100 back in :55.41 and Raker was second in the 400 I.M. in 4:18.89.
Spencer Franzoi and Cody Newton added second place finishes in the 200 I.M. (2:02.47) and the 200 free (1:50.01), respectively.
Zack Martin had two third place finishes. He was third in the 500 free in 5:00.66 and was third in the 1650 free in 17:13.56.
Franzoi, Raker, Tim Peltier and Jason Luthman each had one third place finish. Franzoi was third in the 200 breast in 2:17.10, Raker was third in the 200 I.M. in 2:02.73, Peltier was third in the 1-meter diving with 394.05 points and Luthman was third in the 100 breast in 1:02.41.
The Polar Bears will return to action next Friday at Oberlin.
