No. 19 Men's Swimming & Diving suffer first loss of season

GAMBIER -— The No. 19 Ohio Northern men's swimming & diving team suffered its first loss of the season by a 124-106 score at a split squad of #3 Kenyon on Friday evening.
The Polar Bears now stand at 8-1 on the season, while the Lords improve to 3-3-1.
Northern brought home three first place finishes in the meet.
The 200 yard medley relay team of seniors Marc Anderson and Drew Keriazes, and juniors Jordan Breitigam and Christian Garlock notched a first place finish in 1:35.90.
That time is the second fastest in school history.
Garlock took first place in the 50 yard freestyle in 22.03.
Keriazes won the 100 yard backstroke with a time of 59.29 and sophomore Jason Luthman came in second in 1:03.49.
Keriazes also finished second in the 200 IM in 2:02.15.
Freshman Zach Martin took home second place in the 1000 freestyle in 10:23.85, while Breitigam was second in the 100 butterfly with a time of 52.06.
Junior John Beaschler notched a runner up finish in the 100 freestyle in 48.55 and Garlock was second in the 100 backstroke with a time of 56.89.
Sophomore Chris Hoffman was second in the 500 freestyle with a time of 4:58.95.
Ohio Northern will return to action on Saturday against Baldwin Wallace at the ONU Sports Center at 1 pm.
The meet will also serve as Senior Day and Swim for Cystic Fibrosis.
