No. 16 Men's Swimming tops Notre Dame (Ohio) in dominating fashion 194-38

ADA — The Ohio Northern men's swimming and dive team won in dominating fashion Friday night, topping the Notre Dame (Ohio) Falcons 194-38 at the ONU Sports Center.
ONU won all but one event on its way to victory with a multitude Polar Bears earning first place finishes.
Freshmen Brian Heilbronner, Spencer Franzoi and Chris Hoffman all took first place finishes.
Heilbronner won the 200 Freestyle in 1:47.05. Franzoi won the 200 Individual Medley in 2:02.82 and Hoffman won the 500 Freestyle in 4:58.34.
Sophomores John Beaschler and Jordan Breitigam took first place finishes, as well. Beaschler won the 50 Freestyle in 22.59 and Breitigam won the 200 Butterfly in 1:56.70.
Junior Max McClary won the 200 Backstroke in 2:05.25 and junior Drew Keriazes won the 200 Breaststroke in 2:11.43.
Senior Michael Schultz won the 100 Freestyle in 49.41.
ONU swept the diving events by junior Albert Schmidt winning the 1-meter with a score of 237.30 points and senior Nick Meyer won the 3-meter with a score of 239.95.
The Polar Bears won both of the relays. The 200 Medley Relay consisting of Heilbronner, Keriazes, junior Marc Anderson and senior Anders Samuelson won with a time of 1:38.82.
And the 200 Freestyle Relay consisting of Beaschler, Anderson, Samuelson and sophomore Christian Garlock won with a time of 1:29.38.
During a break before the 1-meter diving event the ONU swim team hosted a fundraiser for Cystic Fibrosis where people could donate and swim on a relay team.
The team raised over $500 and will be accepting donations at Saturday's home swim meet.
Ohio Northern looks to close out the regular season with a victory over 12th ranked Case Western Reserve Saturday at 1 pm at the ONU Sports Center.
