Men's Soccer selected to finish second in OAC Coaches Preseason poll

ADA — The Ohio Northern men's soccer team was picked to finish second in the conference in the Ohio Athletic Conference coaches preseason poll, voted on by the leagues 10 coaches.

Northern finished second in both the OAC regular season and tournament standings, after posting a 17-2-4 record overall and finishing 6-1-2 in the OAC.

The Polar Bears finished second in the voting with 43 points, behind 2016 OAC Regular Season and Tournament champions John Carroll, who gathered 54 points and nine first place votes, while Capital was picked to finish third with 41 points and the final first place vote.

Only the top six vote-getters were mentioned in the poll.

 ONU will open the season on Sept. 1 as it takes on Grove City (Pa.) at the Geneva (Pa.) Tournament at 5 pm.
