Men's Soccer lands six OCSA Academic All-Ohio honorees

ADA — The Ohio Northern men's soccer team landed six athletes on the Ohio Collegiate Soccer Association's Academic All-Ohio list for the 2016 season.
Seniors Grant Allbritten (Warsaw, Ind./Warsaw Community) and David Janusz (Oregonia/Lebanon) and junior Chris Garbig (Wilder, ky./Highlands) earned OCSA First Team Academic All-Ohio honors, while seniors Dustin Lorenzo (Sidney), Nathan Libertowski (Medina) and Patrick Sabol (Lancaster) each earned OCSA Second Team Academic All-Ohio honors.
Allbritten, a Biochemistry/Pre-Med major, earned the honor for the first time in his career.
The senior appeared in and started 20 games for ONU and scored two goals and added three assists on the season.
Janusz, a Political Science/Business double-major, also earned the honor for the first time in his career.
The senior ranked second on the team and in the OAC with 12 goals, eight assists, and 32 points.
Garbig, an Accounting major, was named OCSA Academic All-Ohio for the second time in his career and the earned his first OCSA First Team Academic All-Ohio accolade.
Garbig started in 22 of the teams 23 contests and tied for fifth on the team with four assists.
Lorenzo, a Criminal Justice major from Sidney, was named OCSA Academic All-Ohio for the first time in his career.
The senior appeared in all 23 contests for the Polar Bears, making three starts.
Lorenzo posted four goals and four assists this season.
Libertowksi, a Mechanical Engineering major from Medina, earned his first career OCSA Academic All-Ohio honor.
The senior appeared in all 23 contests for Northern, making 10 starts.
He ranked third on the team with nine goals and fourth on the team with five assists.
Sabol, a Pharmacy major, earned his first career OCSA Academic All-Ohio honor.
Sabol appeared in and started all 23 games for Northern.
The senior scored seven goals and added four assists on the season.
Northern finished 17-2-4 overall under 19th-year head coach Brent Ridenour and saw its season come to an end in the first round of the NCAA III Tournament as it fell to No. 6 Calvin.
