Five named OCSA All-Ohio in Men's Soccer

ADA — The Ohio Northern men's soccer team saw five players named to the Ohio Collegiate Soccer Association's All-Ohio teams for the 2016 campaign.
Senior Matt Kinkopf (Hamilton/Cincinnati Christian) and junior Chris Garbig (Wilder, Ky./Highlands) each earned First Team All-Ohio honors, while seniors Grant Allbritten (Warsaw, Ind./Warsaw Community), David Janusz (Oregonia/Lebanon) and junior Dean McNeil (Medina) each earned Second Team All-Ohio honors.
Kinkopf earned his second OCSA All-Ohio honor and was named First Team for the second consecutive season.
The senior led the team and conference with 16 goals, 17 assists and 49 points.
He ranks first all-time at ONU with 57 goals, is tied for second all-time with 33 assists, and is second all-time at ONU with 147 points.
Garbig collected his second OCSA honor and was named First Team All-Ohio for the first time in his career.
Garbig started in 22 of the teams 23 contests and tied for fifth on the team with four assists.
Allbritten earned his first career OCSA honor after being named Second Team All-Ohio.
The senior appeared in and started 20 games for ONU and scored two goals and added three assists on the season.
Janusz was named OCSA Second Team All-Ohio for the second time in his career.
The senior ranked second on the team and in the OAC with 12 goals, eight assists, and 32 points.
McNeil was also named OCSA Second Team All-Ohio for the second time in his career..
McNeil led the team and OAC with 12 shutouts, a .854 save percentage, a 0.56 goals against average and only 13 goals allowed all season. He also ranks second all-time at ONU with 27 career shutouts.
Northern finished 17-2-4 overall and saw its season come to an end in the first round of the NCAA III Tournament as it fell to No. 6 Calvin.
