No. 8 Men's Soccer receives at large bid, to face No. 7 Calvin (Mich.) in First Round of NCAA III Tournament

ADA — The No. 8-ranked Ohio Northern men's soccer team will travel to Carnegie Mellon (Pa.), and face No. 7-ranked Calvin (Mich.) in the First Round of the 62-team NCAA Division III Tournament on Friday at 1:30 pm.
Carnegie Mellon (Pa.) and Ohio Wesleyan will square off at 11:30 am, prior to Northern's contest with Calvin.
The Polar Bears (17-1-4 overall) earned an at large bid to the NCAA III Tournament after tying John Carroll in the Ohio Athletic Conference Tournament Final.
Northern posted its 11th consecutive winning season and is making its fifth NCAA Tournament appearance in the last six years under 19th-year head coach Brent Ridenour.
Calvin (18-2-0 overall) earned an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament after defeating Alma (Mich.) in the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association finals 4-2.
With a win over Calvin, Northern would take on the winner of No. 21-ranked Carnegie Mellon and Ohio Wesleyan in the second round of the tournament.
ONU will be making its ninth appearance at the NCAA III Tournament.
