CLEVELAND — The Ohio Northern men's soccer team fell to Case Western Reserve Saturday afternoon 2-0 at the Disanto Filed .
The Polar Bears fall to 5-3-0 overall, while Case Western improves to 6-1-0 overall.
Sophomore, goalkeeper, Dean McNeil recorded a game-high four saves in the match and moves to 5-3-0 on the season.
Junior Austin Horton added a game-high three shots.
Case Western struck in the 45th minute to take an early 1-0 advantage and added an insurance goal in the 90th minute to claim the 2-0 victory.
The Polar Bears threatened the Case Western lead in the 60th minute of competition as junior Grant Allbritten put a shot on goal that was saved by the Spartans goalkeeper.
Northern continued to pressure the Spartan defense late in the second half as junior Matt Kinkopf fired off a shot in the 81st minute that was once again saved by the Case Western keeper.
The Polar Bears out shot the Spartans in the second half 8 to 5, putting two on goal.
Northern returns to action Tuesday as they travel to Defiance to take on the Yellow Jackets at 4 pm.
