MOUNT BERRY, Ga. — The Ohio Northern men's soccer team defeated Berry (Ga.) 5-0 on Sunday afternoon in the final game of the Berry Invitational to move to 3-1 on the season. ONU was led by senior Keegan Ross, who had three shots on goal and one goal in the match.
Ohio Northern scored three goals in the first half, the first coming in the 10th minute when Ross scored off an assist from freshman Chris Garbig. The Polar Bears struck again in the 13th minute as well as the 44th minute when sophomore David Janusz and freshman Ben Conkin each scored goals.
In the second half, Ohio Northern recorded goals from sophomore Austin Horton and freshman Grant Cayot.
Sophomore goalkeeper Evan Bader had 2 saves in the match, moving his record to 2-0 on the season.
ONU outshot Berry 19-17 in the match.
Ohio Northern will next be in action Wednesday as it travels to Wittenberg for a 7:30 pm match.
