Wednesday's Preview: The Ohio Northern men's lacrosse program continues its three-game Spring Break trip today with a road contest at Pfeiffer (N.C.) ... Game time is set for 3 p.m. at Lefko Field in Misenheimer, N.C. ... The Polar Bears enter play sporting a 2-1 overall record this season and riding a nine-game road win streak, dating back to last season ... Northern extended the win streak with a 6-4 victory over Guilford (N.C.) on Sunday ... Senior Anthony Pavone led the ONU offense with two goals while junior Cameron Marous dolled out a team-high two assists in the contest ... Defensively, seniors Drew Fox and Evan Corteville each registered four ground balls to lead the Polar Bears ... Fox also chipped in a team-high two caused turnovers ... In net, senior Alex Pizarro tallied 12 saves and a .750 save percentage to earn his second win in net this season ... Through three games, Marous leads the team with nine goals and five assists, which both rank fifth in the Ohio Athletic Conference ... Additionally, his team-leading 15 points ties for third among the league leaderboards ... Marous is ONU's all-time career leader with 65 assists and 149 points and sits second with 84 career goals in just 36 career games ... Senior Max Weese is ONU's all-time career leader in goals with 95 ... Sophomore Preston Victory currently leads the team with nine ground balls ... Pizarro owns a 2-1 record with 29 saves, a .630 save percentage, and an 6.80 GAA in goal ... He currently leads the OAC in save percentage and GAA while ranking fourth in saves and total goals against (17) ... Pfeiffer enters the contest sporting a 2-2 overall record ... The Falcons are coming off a 15-11 victory over Brevard (N.C.), who ONU will face on Saturday ... Senior John Allen leads the team with 15 goals this season while junior attack man Jared Nelson leads the team with 10 assists and 22 points ... Defensively, freshman Spencer Stokes tops the team with eight caused turnovers ... In goal, junior Tom Romanik has started all four contests to record 45 saves, a .437 save percentage, a 14.50 GAA, and a 2-2 overall record.
