Men's Lacrosse uses balance scoring in 16-7 victory over La Roche (Pa.)

ADA — The Ohio Northern men's lacrosse team saw three players score three goals as they defeated La Roche (Pa.) 16-7 Saturday afternoon at Dial-Roberson Stadium.
The Polar Bears improve to 7-1 overall, while La Roche falls to 2-9.
Freshmen Drew Eramo, Anthony Pavone and Max Weese all scored three goals a piece in the contest.
Ermao also picked up an assist in the victory, recording his seventh of the season.
Northern would score early and often as Pavone found the games opening goal at the 4:33 mark in the opening period giving ONU the 1-0 advantage.
Freshman Noah St. Croix wasted no time scoring another Polar Bear goal 13 seconds later off an assist from freshman Steven Slagle.
With 1:17 to play in the first period, freshman Connor Preston would score his 4th goal of the season extending the Northern advantage to 3-0.
Slagle would find himself in the scores column with :39 seconds remaining in the period connecting for his first goal of the game.
In the second period, ONU continued to pressure the La Roche defense as Slagle, Eramo and Weese all recorded goals.
Leading 10-0 in the third period, La Roche would finally break through the Northern defense and find its first goal of the contest.
The Polar Bears would respond with 5:24 to play in the period as Eramo connected with St. Croix for his second goal of the game.
Pavone would score with 2:47 remaining in the third to give ONU the 12-1 advantage before La Roche netted another goal.
Preston would close out the third period for Northern, scoring his second goal of the contest and fifth of the season.
Ohio Northern would go on to score three more goals in the fourth period to claim the 16-7 victory.
The Polar Bears out shot La Roche 50-23 in the contest, recording a game-high 52 ground balls.
Northern returns to action Saturday as they open conference play at Mount Union at 7 pm.
