Men's Golf finishes second at ONU Spring Classic

HARROD — Senior Zach Goodchild (Pickerington/North) finished with a 7-over par 75-74—149 to lead the Ohio Northern men's golf team at the ONU Spring Classic on a chilly Saturday and Sunday at Colonial Golfers Club.
The Polar Bears (17-40 overall) finished second with a 305-306—611. Tiffin won the team title with a 305-298—603 and Heidelberg was third with a 312-305—617.
Goodchild finished tied for third out of 36 golfers on the 6788-yard, par 71 course.
Sophomore Ryan Tatman (West Chester/Lakota East) finished sixth with a 76-74—150, junior Joshua Turich (Centerville) was 12th with a 77-79—156, freshman Ethan Smith (Chillicothe/Southeastern) was 13th with a 78-79—157 and senior Riku Watanabe (Centerville) tied for 18th with a 77-83—160.
Tiffin's Britton Hensel won Medalist honors with a 72-69—141.
The Polar Bears are scheduled to return to action April 21-22 at the Defiance Spring Invitational.
