Four named Academic All-OAC in Men's Golf

ADA — The Ohio Northern men's golf team saw four members earn Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference honors in 2017.
Senior Tyler Davis (Liberty Center), junior Zach Goodchild (Pickerington/North), and sophomores Nick Anderson (Mason), and Joshua Turich (Centerville) all earned the honor.
Davis is a Pharmacy major and earned the honor for the second time in his career.
The senior averaged 76.1 strokes per round and ranked second on the team in 2017.
Davis earned All-Conference honors after finishing second at the OAC Championships and firing a school-record 54-hole total of 72-73-73—218.
Goodchild, a Risk Management and Insurance major, earned the honor for the first time in his career.
The junior led the team and set the all-time school record with 74.4 strokes per round in 2017.
Goodchild also fired a season-low and team-best 70 this season.
Anderson, a Civil Engineering major, earned the honor for the first time.
The sophomore ranked fourth on the team, averaging 78.6 strokes per round.
His season average ranks in the top-20 all-time at Ohio Northern.
Turich, a Mechanical Engineering major, was named Academic All-OAC for the first time in his career.
Turich ranked sixth on the team with career-best 80.3 strokes per round.
The sophomore posted a 27th place finish at the OAC Championships in 2017.
Northern posted a fourth place finish at the OAC Championships in 2017 under fourth-year head coach Chad Bucci.
