Men's Golf in second place after Day 1 of Polar Bear Classic

HARROD -- The Ohio Northern men's golf team is in second place out of eight teams after the first day of the annual Polar Bear Classic on Saturday at Colonial Golfers Club.
The Polar Bears (23-28-1 overall) have 307 strokes and trail only NCAA Division II foe Tiffin, who lead the standings with a first round 298.
Lourdes is third with a 308 and Wooster is fourth with a 313.
Junior Zach Goodchild (Pickerington/North) is tied for first place out of 53 golfers with a 1-under par 70 on the 6788-yard course.
Senior Tyler Davis (Liberty Center) is tied for sixth with a 76, senior Blaine Ricketts (Belle Center/Ben Logan) is tied for 19th with a 79 and sophomore Nick Anderson (Mason) is tied for 39th with an 82.
The second and final round will be on Sunday with tee times at 8:30 am and 2 pm.
