Men's Golf wraps up Fall season at 54-hole Tiffin Fall Invitational

TIFFIN -- The Ohio Northern men's golf team wrapped up its 2016-17 fall season with a solid showing at the Tiffin Kyle Ryman Memorial tournament Saturday-Sunday at the Mohawk Country Club.
The Polar Bears (23-27-1 overall) finished 12th out of 14 teams in the predominently Division II field with 913 strokes.
That average of 304.3 is more then four strokes better that their season average coming into the tournament.
Among Division III schools, ONU defeated Heidelberg 913-928.
Junior Zach Goodchild (Pickerington/North) led the Polar Bears with a 2-over par 74-73-71--218 to finish tied for 12th in the 99-man field.
Senior Tyler Davis (Liberty Center) tied for 42nd with a 78-74-74--226 and senior Blaine Ricketts (Belle Center/Ben Logan) tied for 73rd with an 80-74-80--234 for ONU.
Ferris State (Mich.) won the team title with an 865, Saginaw Valley State (Mich.) was second with an 871 and Wayne State (Mich.) was third with an 875.
The Polar Bears will return to action during their annual Spring Break trip in March.
