Men's Golf sits one stroke off the lead after first round of ONU Spring Invite

HARROD — The Ohio Northern men's golf team is one stroke off the lead after the first day of the two-day ONU Spring Invitational on Saturday afternoon at Colonial Golfers Club.
The Polar Bears carded a 165 as the first day was shortened to nine holes due to snow and extremely high winds that moved into the area.
Senior Rick Deichert and sophomores Zach Goodchild and Tim Monroe led ONU with 5-over par 41s and are tied for seventh out of 47 golfers.
Junior Tyler Davis is tied for 16th with a 42 and junior Blaine Ricketts is tied for 120th with a 43.
The second and final round will be Sunday with 18 holes beginning at 10:30 am.
Tiffin and Capital are tied for first with 164s, ONU is third with a 165 and Baldwin Wallace and Heidelberg are fourth with a 166s.
