Men's Golf finishes second of three teams at Capital Fall Invitational

GALENA -- The Ohio Northern men's golf team finished second of three teams at the 36-hole Capital Fall Invitational Friday at the Royal American Links.

The Polar Bears (7-3 overall) unofficially finished with a 297-295--592 on the 6859-yard, par-72 course.

Sophomore Zach Goodchild led ONU with a 2-over par 74-72--146, finishing fourth. Senior Rick Deichert and junior Tyler Davis both carded 4-over par 148s ti tie for fifth and sophomore Tim Monroe shot a 6-over par 150 to finish eighth of 25 golfers.

Otterbein won the tournament with a 282-284--566 and Capital was third with a 308-308--616.

The Polar Bears will return to action Saturday and Sunday at the Heidelberg Fall Invitational.
