Reese, Studer have career-high scoring nights, but Men's Basketball drops 81-68 decision at Heidelberg

TIFFIN — The Ohio Northern men's basketball team got career high scoring nights from freshman Carter Reese (Westerville/North) and sophomore Mason Studer (Galion/Colonel Crawford) in an 81-68 loss at Heidelberg on Wednesday night at Sieberling Gymnasium.

- Reese scored a career-high 25 points and Studer added a career-best 15 points to lead Ohio Northern.

- The Polar Bears rallied to within 59-54 on a pair of free throws by sophomore Hayden Hanson (Cedarville) with 8:39 left in the game.
- But HU would score the next five points and ONU would get no closer than six the rest of the way.
- Ohio Northern made 21-of-55 field goal attempts for 38.2%, including a 9-of-24 mark from 3-point range for 37.5%.
- Heidelberg was 32-of-60 shooting for 53.3% and made 4-of-17 3-pointers for 23.5%.
- ONU was a perfect 17-of-17 from the foul line for 100.0%, and HU was 13-of-15 for 86.7%.
- The Polar Bears out-rebounded the Student Princes 32-30.
