Junior Ryan Bruns named Men's Basketball OAC Player of the Week

ADA — For the third time this season, junior Ryan Bruns (Chickasaw/Marion Local) has been named the Ohio Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week.

The junior averaged 27.5 points per game in ONU's 2-0 week that featured victories over Baldwin Wallace and Muskingum.

Bruns posted 29 points and six rebounds in the overtime win over Baldwin Wallace and followed that performance up with a 28-point and 14-rebound effort in an 82-69 win at Muskingum.

He was a perfect 13-of-13 from the free throw line, was 4-of 9 from 3-point range and shot .559 from the floor in the two wins.

The junior currently ranks eighth nationally with 25.4 points per contest and is tied for second nationally with 59 blocked shots.

Northern returns to action on Wednesday evening as it travels to Tiffin to take on Heidelberg at 7 pm.
